Privacy Policy

How FreeVideoGenerator collects, uses, and deletes your data — including prompts, image-to-video reference images, and generated videos.

Introduction

FreeVideoGenerator ("we", "us") operates freevideogenerator.app, an AI video generation service: videos generated from text prompts (text-to-video) or from images you upload (image-to-video). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

  • Account data. When you create an account: email address, name, and authentication identifiers (including Google OAuth identifiers if you sign in with Google).
  • Prompts. The text descriptions you submit for video or image generation.
  • Reference images. Images you upload for image-to-video generation. Reference images may contain people's faces (see "Uploaded Images and Facial Privacy" below).
  • Generated content. The videos and images we generate for you.
  • Usage data. Credit balances and transaction records, and basic technical logs (IP address, timestamps) required to operate the service securely.

Uploaded Images and Facial Privacy

Reference images you upload for image-to-video may contain facial images, which we treat as sensitive data:

  • Purpose limitation. Your image is processed only for the video generation task you requested, as the input frame to be animated. We do not use uploaded images to identify you or to build biometric templates.
  • You must have the right to upload. You may only upload images you have the rights to; where an identifiable real person appears, you must have that person's consent (see our Terms of Service).
  • No training, no sale. We never sell your uploaded images or prompts and never use them to train AI models.
  • No public sharing. Your uploaded reference images and generated results are private to your account. We do not add them to the public gallery.

Retention

  • Prompts and task metadata. Generation tasks keep the prompt, selected model, time, status and credit records for history, billing and auditing, until you delete the work or delete your account.
  • Reference images. Uploaded reference images are stored in private object storage. During generation, the selected processor accesses them via short-lived signed links; the access grant is revoked when the task ends. Reference images are kept until you delete them via Settings → Files or your history, or until you delete your account.
  • Generated videos and images. Generated videos and images are kept until you delete them (via your history or Settings → Files), or until you delete your account.
  • Account data: kept while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your personal data as described in "Your Rights".

Third-Party AI Processors

Video generation goes through the EvoLink aggregation gateway to third-party model providers (such as OpenAI's Sora, Google's Veo, ByteDance's Seedance, MiniMax's Hailuo, and Alibaba's Wan). The selected provider receives your prompt — and, for image-to-video, short-lived access to your reference image — and returns the generated result. General image generation (still reachable via gallery and creation-retry entries) also runs through EvoLink, with fal.ai, API Mart, and KIE.ai as configurable alternatives.

Cloudflare supplies hosting, database and storage. The configured email provider processes transactional messages. Prompts are screened by Waffo before model submission (see "Prompt safety screening" below). Each external service has its own processing, retention and transfer terms. Our retention controls do not establish those external terms; we do not represent an unverified processor agreement, training restriction, or deletion period as confirmed.

Browser extension and material library

The browser extension reads an image or text only when you select it, use a context-menu action, or request a page capture. Selected materials stay in a local draft until you save them to your account or submit a generation. The cloud material library stores your selected images or text, titles, folders and source page paths; source query strings and fragments are removed. We do not collect your browsing history.

The extension stores its revocable account connection credential in local extension storage restricted to trusted extension contexts. Disconnecting clears ordinary local drafts, cached images and credentials. If a paid submission has an unknown outcome, its original request and stage draft remain as an account-scoped recovery record until acceptance or a definitive rejection is confirmed. Only the same account can restore that record after reconnecting; recovery does not automatically start another paid generation. You can also revoke a browser connection in Settings → Security. Private preview and download links expire and are checked against account and resource access.

Saved materials remain available across your connected browsers and the website until you remove them or delete your account. Unsaved extension image uploads become eligible for cleanup after 24 hours. Images still used by saved materials or retained generation records are kept while those references remain. Removing a material does not remove an existing generated video.

For product improvement, we record account connection, selected-material imports, material saves and reuse, quotes, accepted generation requests and reported download completion, with browser type and extension version. Generation results come from server-side task records. These usage events do not include image contents, prompt text, account credentials or full source URLs.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Our handling of user data obtained through the browser extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use that data to provide and improve the disclosed extension features and related service operations. We do not sell it, use it for personalized advertising, or use it for creditworthiness or lending decisions. Transfers and human access are restricted to the circumstances permitted by that policy and described in this privacy policy.

Content Moderation

To enforce the content standards in our Terms of Service, we process prompts, generation metadata (model, timestamps, result status) and — where a violation is suspected or reported — the related content, for safety screening and review. Generation requests pass automated screening and the upstream provider's safety filters; flagged or reported items may be reviewed by our team. Moderation data is kept only as long as necessary for enforcement and legal compliance. Your uploaded reference images and generated results remain private to your account and are never used by us for public sharing, advertising or model training.

International Processing

External infrastructure may process service data in different jurisdictions. Review the applicable provider terms before uploading sensitive images. Specific contractual safeguards must be confirmed by the site operator; this policy does not assert that a particular agreement has been signed.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under the GDPR and other applicable laws), you have rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these rights yourself:

  • Delete your account: Settings → account deletion removes your account and associated personal data.
  • Delete specific files and works: Settings → Files for uploaded reference images, or delete works from your history (generated videos and images).
  • Access / other requests: contact us via the contact form or at support@freevideogenerator.app and we will respond within 30 days.

For rights or processing questions that cannot be handled in account settings, contact us using the channels below.

Children

The service is not directed to anyone under 18. You must be 18 or older to use it, and you must not upload photos of minors or images of any person who has not consented.

Security

Files are stored in private cloud storage with access controls; access to private files requires authenticated ownership. Production processing requires encrypted transport (HTTPS). Short-lived signed links allow the selected AI processor to retrieve reference images during generation and are revoked afterwards. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we design for minimal retention precisely to limit exposure.

Prompt safety screening

Before a generation is submitted to a model, we send the final text prompt to Waffo for automated safety screening. This screening does not send your uploaded reference image to Waffo. We proceed only after an explicit allow decision. We retain the prompt hash, verdict, reason, request identifier and timestamp with the associated task for auditing; screening logs contain no prompt text or credentials. The associated task deletion policy also applies to its screening records.

Creator suggestions in the browser extension

When you request AI shot suggestions, the extension sends the plain text you reviewed, your chosen shot purpose and interface language to our server. Our server uses EvoLink to process that text. Reading a page or selecting text alone does not send it for AI processing. Page credentials and raw page HTML are not sent to the suggestion service. You can edit the extracted text before sending.

Raw article text is not stored by our suggestion service or included in usage logs. Generated suggestions are cached for up to 24 hours. Minimal request fingerprints and quota records remain until account deletion so retries do not silently trigger another model request. Drafts are stored in the extension on your device; saved materials and accepted image/video jobs follow the existing cloud storage and deletion rules.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by updating the date below. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
